The project

The space destined to the Museum will be installed in the former Faculty of Medicine of the University of Granada and will have the collaboration of specialists in different areas such as Fine Arts, History, Restoration, Conservation, Museology, Anthropology, Health Sciences, Pedagogy and Documentation, who will let the important value of the things to be exposed to a high level.

This information was announced by the Vice Chancellor of Extension in the University, Víctor Medina, during the presentation of this project started in the Strategic Plan of the City 2007, whose validity is maintained due to the search for the endowment of specialized sites and with such attractive and formative cultural characteristics, for the inhabitants of Granada.

Víctor Medina added that the Museum of Medicine and Health Sciences will be the first of Andalusia, and the third that is concretized nationwide. In addition to that, about 80 medical museums in the country and the world have been analyzed to verify the sections that will be included: Pharmacy, Dentistry and Sanitary Instrumental.
